Eric Paley, Partner at Nixon Peabody Eric leads the Nixon Peabody’s Employee Benefits and Executive Compensation team nationally. He focuses his practice on the law and regulations governing retirement plans (e.g., pension, profit-sharing, 401(k), and 403(b) plan compliance), welfare plans (e.g., group health plan, group insurance plan, cafeteria plan, HIPAA, and COBRA compliance), nonqualified deferred compensation plans and equity compensation plans. A significant portion of Eric’s practice also involves counseling retirement and welfare plan committees on their fiduciary responsibilities under ERISA. Eric has represented both publicly-traded and privately-held businesses in a variety of benefits matters. Lena Gionnette, Counsel at Nixon Peabody Lena focuses her practice on creating, reviewing, and implementing benefit and compensation programs designed to meet the needs of for-profit and nonprofit entities of all sizes. She regularly advises employers, executives, and third-party administrators on a wide range of issues relating to health and welfare plans, defined contribution and defined benefit plans, non-qualified deferred compensation arrangements, and fringe benefits. Lena’s practice also involves counseling clients on day-to-day plan administration issues, resolving plan errors under the IRS and DOL correction programs, and guiding clients through governmental audits. |
